The Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) Newsletter is distributed monthly to students and faculty. This newsletter serves as a communication tool for our office to share important resources and updates.

We heard you, and in response to your feedback we'd like to share an upcoming improvement to the exam accommodation process at the Werth Testing Center. Beginning January 5, 2026, SSD will transition from OTRS to a new scheduling system called RegisterBlast.
RegisterBlast was selected to reduce manual tasks, streamline communication, and integrate directly with Canvas and AIM. This change is intended to make the accommodated testing process easier and more efficient for instructors and departments.
SSD will provide clear guides, short videos, and training opportunities in January. Interested in RegisterBlast training? Contact ssd@vt.edu.
