RegisterBlast Reminder
To ensure smooth testing at the Werth Testing Center (WTC), please follow these guidelines when setting up exams:
Exam Setup:
- Provide Advance Notice: Create exam blocks early enough for students to register at least 3 business days before the exam. Encourage SSD students to register early.
- Use Classroom Time Only: Set exam blocks for standard classroom time only. Do not add accommodation time. RegisterBlast calculates this automatically.
- Check End Times: Ensure exam windows are not too short or restrictive, which may block students from registering.
- Include a Scheduling Buffer: Add a minimum 30‑minute cushion before and after the exam to support scheduling on the :15 and :45 marks.
WTC Operational Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:15 AM-8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:15 AM-5:00 PM
Extended Final Exam Hours (May 8-13):
- Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 8:00 AM-9:30 PM
Submission of Exam Materials:
- Upload all exam materials (files, passwords, instructions) at least 2 business days before the exam.
- If materials are not received by 4:00 PM the business day before the exam, the student’s reservation may be cancelled.
- Per ADA requirements, cancelled reservations due to missing materials place responsibility on faculty to provide approved accommodations.
If You Cannot Complete a Reservation:
- Contact the WTC immediately at ssdstestingcenter@vt.edu to avoid delays or missed appointments.
