SSD Employee Spotlight
Ryan Murdock
Ryan, a C-Print Captionist with SSD, has been an invaluable support to the Werth Testing Center. He has stepped in to assist with overseeing RegisterBlast operations, supporting student employees, and providing excellent customer service to both students and faculty. Ryan also ensures that exams are delivered and picked up efficiently and on time. His strong problem‑solving skills make him a key asset in managing last‑minute issues and maintaining smooth daily operations within the Werth Testing Center.
SSD Embedded Office Hours Spring 2026
This semester, SSD's Access Team will host embedded office hours in the colleges once a month to answer general questions and connect with students, faculty, and staff. Stop by to meet with an access specialist at one of the locations listed below:

RegisterBlast Reminder
Students are responsible for scheduling their own exams in RegisterBlast for the Werth Testing Center. Exams must be scheduled at least three (3) business days prior to the exam date.
If you are unable to complete your reservation in RegisterBlast, you must contact the Werth Testing Center as soon as possible at ssdstestingcenter@vt.edu. Prompt communication is essential to avoid delays or missed testing appointments.
Please be proactive in managing your exam reservations to ensure a smooth testing experience, ensure availability, and allow time to resolve any potential issues.

- Student Success Center Academic Coaching-Did you know the Student Success Center offers Professional and Peer Academic Coaching? Do you struggle with executive function issues? Professional Coaches and Peer Academic Coaches (PACs) are trained to help students develop their academic skills and performance through individual coaching appointments and group presentations for the Seminar Series on Academic Success. Schedule today on Navigate and select "Additional Support Services."
